The night games really had no drama – as Tennessee, UCLA, Baylor, Virginia and Arizona dominated their games.
So the Sweet 16 is set. At this point, Bernard Benson is our standard pool leader at 500 points. He is closely followed by Doomps, Michelle Horgan, Justin Gorman and Philip Ventrella – who are 10 points behind. Then, trailing by only 20 points are Steve O’Neill, Chris Franklin, Laura Carini and Steve Glass.
In the upset pool, Justin Gorman has taken control with 243 points. Justin is followed by Michelle Horgan (12 behind), Laura Carini (16 behind), Bernard Benson (23 behind) and Philip Ventrella (23 points).
The Lunatic is still lurking in the large group tied for 36th. So, it is not a thorough stomping just yet – but we have a full two more weekends of games to fix that.
Also, for those of you who have already given up on your bracket because you had Wichita State, Kansas, Villanova, Creighton, Syracuse or Duke winning it all, there is still hope. Unsolicited feedback: the background color is very Texas. How about some Vol support?
Definitely wasn’t meaning any disrespect to the defending champ – just was avoiding trying to type in 12 more names since I was updating from my phone. 🙂
And I was going for the color of a basketball. But I guess it could be misunderstood as a sponsorship for Texas. To be honest, I am having a hard time distinguishing between the orange of the Volunteers and the orange of the Longhorns. From Google’s site, it looked like Texas was darker, but when I go to the two official athletic sites, they look closer to me. However, according to Wikipedia, Tennessee was founded first, so I will assume the Longhorns stole the school colors from the proud tradition of the Volunteers.
Although just in case this has now offended any Texas fans, Hook ‘Em Horns!
