Congratulations to Ryan Zotti – who leads both the Standard and Upset Pools. That is because Ryan did something pretty amazing – he went 31 of 32 in the first round, only missing on the USC / SMU game (which by the way was a 1 point game). So, really was just a single basket from still having a perfect bracket after 32 games. Really very impressive.
Andrew Braslow is alone in 2nd place with an impressive 30-2 record. Both Rob Nesbitt’s picks, Andrew Braslow, Chris Peterson, and Evan Goldstein are trailing by only 20 points after going 29-3. And 18 of you are tied for 9th with a 28-4 record.
As far as the upset pool, the leaders are basically the same – Ryan has 159 pts, followed by Andrew at 150 pts, Chris at 147 pts and Evan at 145 pts. Dan Wells (one of our 28-4 players) rounds out the top 5 at 144 pts.
As for the Lunatic, if you had told me before the tournament started that I would go 26-6 and 25-7 in the first round, I would be pretty excited. Yet, that is only good enough for a tie for 57th and 116th place. That is why this is the Stomp the Lunatic tournament – you all are really good at predicting college basketball games!!!!!
Good luck to everyone in the second round!!!!
