So, after watching Liberty upset Mississippi State, I thought to myself – why not go treat myself to a milkshake from Sonic.  To be honest, it is truly a desparate attempt to give my self some type of sugar rush in order to make it through the evening games.  It also might have helped to have the realization that since the one game had just ended, it would be at least 30 minutes until the Virginia Tech game starts.  It is going to be a late night for a sleep deprived old Lunatic.

And sure enough, as I am heading home, I find the radio station playing the games, and I get to listen as #16 seed Iona goes into half-time with a 38-33 lead over the #1 North Carolina Tar Heels.  I don’t remember a tournament where two 16 seeds were leading at half and another one was only down 4.  The other one seeds have survived, so you have to expect UNC will as well – but it has been a crazy day of basketball.

Apparently, Roy Williams did not read my blog and see the message about warning your players that they need to come out strong.  And as I type this, UCF has a 2 point lead and Ohio State has a 5 point lead.   Apparently, none of the coaches listened.   To Virginia Tech’s Buzz Williams – WARN YOUR PLAYERS!!!   It is upset Friday – do not underestimate your opponent!!!!!!

Should be a fun evening!!!
