The Syracuse zone defense does it again – holding Marquette to 39 points – a record low for an Elite 8 tournament game.  The Orange stopped basically any penetration that Marquette tried to create and the Golden Eagles couldn’t hit a three-point shot today – even when they were wide open.

So, the Orange win the battle of the Big East teams – and become the first team to make their way to Atlanta and the Final Four.
