Iowa heads to the Women’s Final Four

Iowa’s Caitlin Clark scored 41 points and had 12 assists, as the Hawkeyes went on a huge run in the third quarter to take control of the game. Iowa held the Tigers to just 13 points in the 3rd quarter while LSU dealt with foul trouble as multiple players including Angel Reese and Flau’jae Johnson had 3 fouls.

But the Hawkeyes kept scoring as Clark hit 4 three pointers in that quarter. Kate Martin added 21. points for Iowa, and overall the Hawkeyes shot 41% from three-point range, and withstood LSU scoring a lot in the last quarter to win 94-87.

So, South Carolina will play NC State, and Iowa will play the winner of the USC / Connecticut game that just started in Portland (with a corrected three-point line after being wrong for the first 5 games in Portland). Can UConn join NC State as sending both their men and women to the Final Four? Only time will tell.
